There are various
personalities on the students, depends on the background and the environment,
and every personality always bring a story. It might be the sad, happy, or funny
story, and sometimes they need the right time, the right person, and the right
chance to show us their true self. But above it all, whoever they are, whatever
they do, they never failed to make me in love with them.
In 6th grade, there are
four little active and clever boys. Sometimes they are quite hard to handle, yet
it’s kind of hard for me as well to get angry at them. Hardly believe their cute
actions always mesmerize me in good ways.
And this story bellow can be an example
why i never can get enough of teaching them :D.
One busy day, we got an outdoor activity for science. And yes, whenever
it comes to outdoor, the kids will be more active than usual. In the middle of our lesson, i asked one of
the boys to take my belongings on the table, the scissor and the coloring. But
because i was in a rush, instead of mentioning each of them by name, i told him
like this “could you please take the scissor and that thing?” while pointing at
the coloring. At that time there were a lot of things on it. Fool me, i didn’t
reckoning the probability of him to take another thing.
Awhile later he gave me these...
‘itu’ means ‘that’, he
wrote it on this small paper (could you imagine him having a time to cut the
paper and write ‘itu’ on it? true little prankster. Lol) . I was bursting into
laugh, i couldn’t believe he came up with such idea. It was beyond my
imagination, instead of taking the random thing on the table that can be ‘that’,
he chose to make it by himself.
He actually knew where
was i pointing at, but my unclear instruction became a chance for him to make a
joke.
“you said to take that,
and for me this is ‘that’” he answered.
He made me realize to
always make a clear instruction in every situation, no matter what. For this
case, it’s so funny. But it won’t be funny anymore when the kids get confuse
just because of the teacher’s instruction. Beware teachers!
And thanks Danta, through
your cute yet clever prank, you let me learn again about this basic thing :D.
*he gave me the coloring eventually
